Sumitomo Metal Mining Co Ltd(SMM). The Group's principal activities are to operate miner, smelter and sell nonferrous metals and metal fabrication. The operations are carried out through the following divisions: Metal and metal processed products; Electronic and functional materials; Mineral resources; and Other. Metal and metal processed products division deals in gold, silver, copper, nickel, lead and zinc. Electronic and functional materials division deals in electronics materials and optical communications materials. Mineral resources division is engaged in the production and sale of non-ferrous metal resources. Other operations include nuclear power-related engineering.
