Agrium Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to produce and market agricultural nutrients, industrial products and specialty fertilizers. It operates through three segments: Wholesale, Retail and Advanced Technologies. Wholesale segment produce and market nitrogen, phosphate and potash. Retail segment sells fertilizers, chemicals, seed, custom application services and agronomic consulting. Advanced Technologies produce and sell controlled-release and other professional products. As of 31-Dec-2007, it operated 444 retail centers and 49 distribution facilities in the United States, Argentina and Chile. The Group operates in North America and South America but markets its products globally.
