Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. The Group's principal activities are exploring, developing, producing and marketing oil and gas. It operates in three segments: Oil and Gas Exploration, Marketing and Midstream businesses. The Oil and Gas segment explores and produces natural gas, crude, oil, condensate and natural gas liquids. The Marketing segment sells most of the Group's production, as well as commodities purchased from third parties. The Midstream segment engages in gathering, processing, treating and transporting the Group's and third party oil & gas production. The Group's major areas of operations are located in The Rocky M ountains, the deep water Gulf of Mexico, the southern area of the United State s and internationally. As of 31-Dec-2007, the Group has 2.43 billion barrels oil-equivalent of proved reserves.
