Conocophillips. The Group's principal activities are to explore, refine, market and transport crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. The Group operates through four divisions. The Exploration and Production segment conducts the exploration and production of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. The Midstream segment gathers and processes natural gas. The Refining and Marketing segment refines, markets and transports crude oil and petroleum products. The Chemicals segment manufactures and markets petrochemicals and plastics. The Em erging Businesses segment develops new technologies related to natural gas conversion into clean fuels and related products (gas-to-liquids), technology solutions, emerging technologies and power generation. The Group has operations in the United States of America, Norway, United Kingdom and Canada. On 30-Jun-2005, it entered into a joint venture with Lukoil to develop resources in the northern part of Russia's Timan-Pechora province.
