El Paso Corporation. The Group's principal activities are to explore, extract and transport natural gas and market energy and energy related commodities. It operates through five segments. Pipelines segment provides natural gas transmission, storage, and related services, primarily in the US. Marketing and Trading segment's operations focus on the marketing of our natural gas and oil production and the management of remaining trading portfolio. Power segment primarily cons isted of an international power business. Field Services conducts midstream ac tivities, which include gathering and processing of natural gas. Production segment explores, acquires, develops and produces natural gas, oil and natural gas liquids. The Group has international exploration and production rights in Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Hungary, Indonesia and Turkey.In Jan 2006 the Group acquired operated natural gas and oil producing properties and undeveloped acreage in south Texas.
