First Solar, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to design, manufacture a nd sell solar electric power modules using a proprietary thin film semiconduct or technology. Its solar modules employ a thin layer of cadmium telluride semiconductor material to convert sunlight into electricity. The Group integrates non-silicon thin film technology into high volume low-cost production and in less than three hours, it transforms an inexpensive 2ft x 4ft sheet of glass into a complete solar module. Its manufacturing plant located in Perrysburg, Ohio. The Group operates in the United States and Germany. On 30-Nov-2007, the Group acquired Turner Renewable Energy LLC.
