Impala Platinum Holdings Limited(IMPLATS). The Group's principal activity is producing and supplying platinum group metals to industrial economies. The business operations consist of mining, refining and marketing of platinum group metals, especially platinum, as well as nickel, copper and cobalt. The Group's operations on the Bushveld Complex in South Africa (Impala Platinum, Marula Platinum and Two Rivers) and the Great Dyke in Zimbabwe (Zimplats and Mimosa) give it a base of attributable reserve and resource ounces of platinum. The Group also has offshore exploration projects in Australia, Brazil and the United States. The Gro up also has a refining services comprising floatation concentrate, smelter mat te, base metal residues and spent autocatalysts. The Group's platinum group metals are applied in such areas as automotive, medicine, jewelry, industry and technology.
