Mosaic Company (The). The Group's principal activities include the production, blending and distribution of crop nutrient and animal feed products worldwide. It operates through four segments: Phosphates, Potash, Offshore and Nitrogen. The Phosphate segment owns and operates mines and concentrates plants in Florida that produce phosphate fertilizer and feed phosphate and concentrates plants in Louisiana that produce phosphate fertilizer. The Potash segment mines, processes and distributes potash in Canada and the United States. The Offshore segment includes fertilizer blending and bagging facilities, port terminals and warehouses in various countries. The Nitrogen segment includes activities related to the N orth American distribution of nitrogen products which are marketed for Saskfer co Products Inc as well as nitrogen products purchased from third parties. The Group markets its products in the United States, Canada, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, India and other countries.
