Nucor Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to manufacture and sell steel and steel products. The Group operates in two segments: Steel Mills and Steel Products. The products of the Steel mill segment include hot-rolled steel (angles, rounds, flats, channels, sheet, wide-flange beams, pilings, billets, blooms, beam blanks and plate) and cold-rolled steel. The products of steel product segment includes steel joists and joist girders and steel deck, cold finished steel, steel fasteners, metal building systems and light gauge steel framing. These products are sold to general contractors and fabricators throughout the United States. In March 2007 The Group acquired Harris Steel Group Inc.
