Yara International. The Group's principal activities are the production and m arketing of nitrogen-based mineral fertilizers such as ammonia, urea and nitrates. It also distributes and sells a wide range of phosphate- and potash-based mineral fertilizers. The activities of the Group are carried out in four segments. Downstream, Upstream, Industrial and Other. The Downstream segment distributes and markets fertilizers. The Upstream segment deals with production of ammonia and urea. The Industrial segment deals with marketing various industrial products. The Other segment consists of all other activities. The Group operates worldwide. The Group acquired Fertibras in 2007.
