Two Additions and Eight Deletions in VanEck Natural Resources Index Quarterly Reconstitution

New York, NY, Thursday, September 7, 2017 — The VanEck Natural Resources IndexSM (TICKER: RVEI) will add two constituents and drop eight constituents in its quarterly reconstitution, effective 6:00 PM (EST) Sunday, September 17, 2017, changing the number of index components to 299.

 

 The additions to RVEI are: Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd (TICKER: KL CN), Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd (TICKER: OR CT).

 

 The deletions from RVEI are: Carpenter Technology (TICKER: CRS US), Ak Steel Holding Corp (TICKER: AKS US), Cameco Corp (TICKER: CCJ US), Core Laboratories N.V. (TICKER: CLB US), Weatherford International Pl (TICKER: WFT US), Crescent Point Energy Corp (TICKER: CPG CN), Olam International Ltd (TICKER: OLAM SP), China Modern Dairy Holdings (TICKER: 1117 HK).

The changes to RVEI are distributed among the following sub-indexes:

 

The S-Network Natural Resources Agriculture Index (RVEA) will drop Olam International Ltd (TICKER: OLAM SP) and China Modern Dairy Holdings (TICKER: 1117 HK).

 

The S-Network Natural Resources Energy Index (RVEE) will drop Cameco Corp (TICKER: CCJ US), Core Laboratories N.V. (TICKER: CLB US), Weatherford International Pl (TICKER: WFT US), and Crescent Point Energy Corp (TICKER: CPG CN).

 

The S-Network Natural Resources Metals Index (RVEM) will add Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd (TICKER: KL CN) and Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd (TICKER: OR CT), and drop Carpenter Technology (TICKER: CRS US) and Ak Steel Holding Corp (TICKER: AKS US).

The S-Network Natural Resources Composite Index (RVEC) serves as the universe for the VanEck Natural Resources Index (RVEI), which is a capitalization-weighted, float-adjusted index of the most prominent commodity stocks in the world. RVEI is divided into six sectors: a) Energy, b) Agriculture, c) Base and Industrial Metals, d) Forest products, e) Precious Metals and f) Alternatives.
